When the Town of Goshen abandons a road it reverts forever to private ownership. The only oddity to this situation is the State should still have access to it's land but the State seems not to care.

North of Goshen to the right traveling westbound on Rt.63 in about a half mile is a side road...Ivy Mountain Road.... I do not think this road has been passable except by walking in a long long time.

Park might be reachable from the north but my last visit I saw a gate and a 'wood road' and property owner ?

Ivy Mountain is 1642 feet high.

The Catskills are viewable to the west, and various Mountain ranges in Eastern Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Once Ivy Mountain was famous for it's Blueberries.

At least in 1900 Ivy Mountain had an 'observation tower'.
